Public Representations

Was Sectional Counsel for the OAB/SP and president of the OAB/SP Relationship Commission with the Regional Federal Court of the Third Region. Was president of the Advocacy Defense Movement. – MDA


Career

Marcelo began his career as a tax attorney for Brazilian and multinational companies. In 2013, he transitioned to the criminal field, where he started to work in the defense and prosecution assistance of emblematic Brazilian criminal cases.

He has a prominent role in defending Ministers, former State Ministers, Senators, Federal and State Deputies, Heads and former Heads of the Executive Branch in high-profile cases.

He also specializes in compliance cases and the implementation of anti-corruption agendas and programs for Brazilian and multinational private companies.

He is a founding partner of the law firm Knopfelmacher, Locke Cavalcanti Advogados, the result of a collaboration with Felipe Locke Cavalcanti, a retired Public Prosecutor, former Minister of the National Council of Justice (CNJ), and former President of the São Paulo State Public Prosecutor’s Association (APMP).

Additionally, he is a partner and director at the international consulting company First Capital Solutions Ltd., based in London, United Kingdom.
